“Babington Academy continues to move from strength to strength…”

Babington Academy has recently been awarded, for the third year running, a very prestigious award in recognition of its work to make a profound difference to all Babington students by being re-accredited as a Centre of Excellence for Inclusion by the Inclusion Quality Mark.  The assessor commented that, “Babington Academy continues to move from strength to strength…”  The report continued by stating that, “There is no doubt that staff can be rightly proud of their inclusivity and they truly live up to their vision to “…make a profound, positive difference to every person who comes through the school gate into Babington, regardless of their background.” The assessor continued that, “Uniform was worn with pride; behaviour was excellent and the relationships between students and their peers and with staff were positive.”

Sara-Jayne Fletcher, Principal, said, “It is wonderful to have been recognised by the Inclusion Quality Mark for the work that goes on every day at Babington.  I am blessed with a wonderful team of teachers and support staff who always go the extra mile to make a profound difference every day.  I would also like to acknowledge our amazing students who play a very important part in this achievement and thoroughly deserve the recognition that this award gives.  We are proud to be such a diverse community and that our inclusive practice has been recognised by this important Centre of Excellence status”
