Learning without Limits Academy Trust

Welcome

I would like to warmly welcome you to Babington Academy. We are very proud of our diverse, vibrant and inclusive school. At Babington we are driven by a moral commitment to ensure that we make a profound positive difference to all who come through the school gates and to ensure that our students and staff reach their full potential. We work tirelessly to educate, support and inspire our community, thereby ensuring that everyone aspires to and, indeed, achieves success.

Situated in North-West Leicester, we are a larger than average secondary school proudly serving students from across the city. We support many schools locally, nationally and internationally and are proud that we have many members of staff that are accredited as Specialist Leaders of Education.

We are proud to be designated as a Flagship School through the Inclusion Quality Mark. This is an award which celebrates our inclusive ethos and provision, which is exemplified by our Designated Specialist Provision (DSP) for speech, language and communication. The Academy has a range of other awards too, such as being accredited as ‘Leading’ by Challenge Partners. We have recently achieved the NACE Challenge Award, Gold Level SMSC Quality Mark, Leeds University & Carnegie Centre of Excellence for Mental Health in Schools Award along with achieving the World Class Schools Quality Mark. However, whilst we are very proud of these awards and achievements, what makes us most proud are our amazing students and their achievements. Our students leave Babington with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to thrive in a challenging and ever-changing world. It is equally important to us that our students leave us with the emotional and intellectual literacy and resilience that they need to be effective and active global citizens. We strive for our students to leave with qualifications which give them choices, alongside a desire to be life-long learners.
